A lush spring garden with vibrant tulips, a quiet pond, and a dense, sun-dappled forest in the background.

The scene depicts a lush, springtime garden bathed in soft, filtered sunlight. A sweeping, grassy pathway leads the eye through the center of the frame, flanked by expansive beds of tulips in vibrant shades of magenta, deep orange, and soft pink. To the left, a bed of cheerful yellow daffodils contrasts with the cooler tones of the grass. A small, tranquil pond sits nestled in the mid-ground, acting as a dark, reflective mirror for the surrounding trees and floral banks, creating a sense of serene depth.

In the background, a dense woodland rises with tall, thin trees whose fresh green canopy creates a dappled light effect. A central tree with light pink blossoms stands out against the darker, shadowy trunks, serving as a focal point for the upper half of the composition. The layout is naturalistic and winding, drawing the viewer deeper into the woods.

The colour palette is rich and saturated, emphasizing the vivid spectrum of the spring flora against the verdant greens of the grass and the deep, earthy browns and blacks of the forest shadows. The lighting is diffused, suggesting a bright but overcast day where the sun is breaking through the high canopy. This is a realistic, high-detail photograph capturing a tranquil, cultivated landscape where nature and garden design blend seamlessly.

Rich colors in the photo of a flower garden in spring, though there are some shadows as well. More difficult than some 500-piece puzzles, so it's somewhat true to the series name (casse-tete in French can be translated as "brainteaser" or "headache"). Potential mismatches due to similarity of piece shapes, but nothing was impossible and it all worked out. I found this puzzle in an attic, previously worked, but fortunately all the pieces were there.
