Illustration of a cluttered rustic cabin interior featuring a standing bear, taxidermy, and an old grandfather clock.

The central image depicts a cozy, cluttered rustic cabin interior viewed from a slightly elevated perspective. The room is filled with eclectic items, including a tall grandfather clock, a low shelf lined with jars, a green armchair, and a set of wooden stairs leading to an upper level. The most striking elements are the taxidermy mounted on the walls, including a boar's head and a fish, and a large, realistic grizzly bear standing near the stairs as if it were a resident of the room. A small white rabbit sits on a stool in the foreground, near a spilling sack of flour and a pair of vintage skis leaning against the staircase.

The artistic style is a detailed, painterly illustration with a warm, slightly vintage aesthetic. The colour palette relies heavily on earthy browns, muted greens, and soft wood tones, which are highlighted by the soft, directional light coming from a lantern hanging above the bear. The composition is grounded and inviting, filled with small, interesting details like hanging meats, framed pictures, and scattered books, suggesting a lived-in space that feels slightly whimsical and mysterious.

Instructional text for a mystery challenge titled The Forbidden Basement on a weathered parchment background.

The image presents a block of instructional text set against a light, distressed parchment background, reminiscent of an old, weathered document. The header reads, "The Forbidden Basement," followed by a narrative paragraph describing a scenario involving a deceased relative's estate, a dark forest, a thunderstorm, a mysterious trap door, and a basement containing a safe. The atmosphere suggested by the text is one of suspense, gothic mystery, and intrigue, framed as the beginning of a challenge.

Beneath the narrative, a section labeled "Time to Start" offers guidance on how to approach the task. To the left, a prominent QR code sits above a hand-drawn arrow, which points toward a website URL. A final rectangular note at the bottom, textured to look like stitched leather, issues a stern warning: "THE FINAL ANSWER IS IN THE SEALED ENVELOPE! DO NOT OPEN!" The entire layout is structured like a formal document or a manual, utilizing a monochromatic color palette with subtle variations in off-white, gray, and dark brown to enhance the vintage, cryptic aesthetic.

Second Escape puzzle.  Whilst the puzzle was ok, it wasn't obvious how to play the escape game after.  PS you need to scan the QR code in the booklet, and look up the hints for the puzzle on the website.  First hint is to get you started - then it will give you all the steps to resolve (if you want to get more clues).
